Algasan Bobs

To achieve fast stock removal or exact contour / shaping, it is essential that the Bobs used have an uniform lapping surface and facilitate efficient charging.
To achieve this Algasan's extensive range of wooden and wool Bobs are manufactured using the best quality, highly-compressed hard wood and the cleanest wool blends to avoid scratch contamination and expensive rework.

We recommended that where applications demand, our Bobs are used with Algamant Diamond Compounds for the best achievable results.

Also available are a soft pine range of Bobs for pre-finish before final felt polishing, again Algamant Diamond Compounds are recommended for use with these Bobs.

Algasan's Lapping Sticks

Algasan's laminated 6" lapping sticks are designed and manufactured from highly compressed wood layers with alternating grain direction, saturated and bonded with synthetic resin.
Algasan Lapping Sticks are especially ideal for fast stock removal using Algamant Diamond Compounds and being dense, easily formed and shape retaining they perform like a cast iron lap of top quality such as Meehanite.

Shapes available include square, rectangular with 45° bevels and round with conical points.
